How AcadSites Works: Build Pipeline & Edge
An architectural deep dive into our OCI-compliant container build pipeline, sandboxed runtimes, and global edge routing.
Architectural Overview
AcadSites operates on a three-tier decoupled architecture designed for speed, isolation, and bounded resource allocation: the Git Webhook Ingestion Layer, the Sandboxed Build Engine, and the Distributed Edge Routing Network. This design eliminates server management overhead while ensuring deterministic performance.
The Isolated Build Pipeline
When a deployment is initiated, our build orchestrator initializes an ephemeral, isolated build environment with dedicated memory and CPU caps. Dependencies are resolved using high-speed caching layers, and output artifacts are generated strictly within sandboxed boundaries.
Each build executes within an isolated, zero-privilege container sandbox. No build artifact or environment variable can cross container boundaries.
Global Edge Network & Routing
Static assets (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, WebAssembly, and images) are immediately synchronized across worldwide edge points of presence. Incoming requests are routed through intelligent Anycast DNS to the nearest geographical node, delivering sub-30ms time-to-first-byte (TTFB).
Dynamic Sandboxed Container Runtime
For dynamic applications such as Next.js SSR and Node.js Express APIs, AcadSites provisions dedicated micro-containers. When traffic is quiet, containers enter a lightweight low-power sleep state and wake up instantaneously on incoming requests, optimizing efficiency without sacrificing responsiveness.
The Bounded Resource Philosophy
Traditional cloud platforms employ metered, open-ended billing models where sudden viral traffic spikes or DDoS attacks can trigger thousands of dollars in surprise charges. AcadSites operates on hard capacity ceilings: your application stays strictly within your selected tier limits, guaranteeing zero unexpected financial liability.
